New York Times '52 Places to go in 2019'
Did you know that the Wadden area was declared a World Heritage Site in 2009? This means that the Wadden Islands are officially recognized as ‘unique in the world’ and can be included in the same list as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the Grand Canyon in America. In addition, the Frisian Islands, of which the Wadden Islands are part, are at number 30 in the New York Times ’52 Places to go in 2019′ and Friesland is at number 3 in Lonely’s Planet’s Best in Europe 2018. All the more reason to be part of this!
