The Dutch Wadden Islands are well known for their friendly and chill vibe. Each island has its own charm. That´s why it is such a popular holiday destination for the Dutchies themselves and their neighbor countries.

Working in the Hospitality Industry

My Working Holiday helps more than 50 hotels and restaurants. We have partners at campsites, hotels, beach pavilions, restaurants, and surfing schools.

Working in the hospitality and catering industry is a fun but also tough profession because you often work long hours. (That’s also an advantage if you want to save money!). You meet a lot of people every day and no day is the same.

Another nice thing is that you do not necessarily have to have experience in the catering industry to be able to work on the islands. On the islands they are willing to guide you and teach you the tricks of the trade.

Available Positions

Throughout the year, we’re always looking for people who would like to work in one of the following positions;

• Bartender
• Waiter or Waitress
• Cook
• Chef Cook
• Kitchen Help
• Cleaner (housekeeper) hotel rooms & holiday homes
• Dishwashers

How does it work?

You sign up and apply online via our website. You tell us for which period you’re available and exactly what type of holiday work (position, island) you’re looking for. We will help you with your choice.

We help you too to introduce you to our clients. Once you have found a great company and they have hired you, we will arrange the following for you;

• Reimbursement of your meals
• Reimbursement of your boat trip
• A good salary. Minimum is €13,68 per hour and you get paid every Thursday!
• On top of your hourly wage there’s the possibility of receiving tips!
• Extra holiday payments and vacation days
• An online course to master the basic principles of the catering profession. Including official certificate!
• Most of all Work at one of the most beautiful holiday spots in the Netherlands.
• We are providing you with the necessary documents such as a BSN number and Dutch Health insurance if needed!

What are the qualities we’re looking for in our team?

We want to give everyone the chance to experience a working holiday in The Netherlands. But we do look for certain qualities that will match our team.  If you can recognize yourself in the following aspects, you’re in!

• You´re kind and loving
• You are willing to work hard in a team with both Dutchies as Internationals
• Experience in hospitality is a big plus
• You are available for a minimum of 2 months.
